INTRODUCTION: Paul is both a physical therapist and the owner of Rehab Associates. Paul takes pride in directing the staff at each clinic. He believes that each clinic should foster a caring and friendly environment that encourages patients to reach their maximum abilities. In addition, Paul enjoys treating patients at each clinic and he enjoys getting to know them on an individual level. He believes by getting to know patients individually, he can find out what motivates each patient and can then tailor specific treatment to enable patients to quickly rehabilitate from injury. Please feel free to speak with Paul anytime you are in the clinic.
EDUCATION: Paul is a 1992 graduate from Ohio State University physical therapy program. Paul has spent the past 15 years providing patient treatment in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, home health and hospital settings. He has had specialized training in the treatment of industrial injuries and is a certified practitioner by Ergo Science. Paul has attended numerous courses focusing on orthopedic treatment in the following areas: neck, temporal mandiscular joint dysfunction (TMJ), low back, knee, headache pain, and shoulder.

Janelle Gant has worked as a Physical Therapist for over 13 years; she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from The Ohio State University. Janelle currently practices in pediatrics, she sees children in the school setting, in home health and in the outpatient setting. Some of her responsibilities include the evaluation of patients, along with the supervision and treatments for children with developmental disabilities. Janelle also consults with both school systems and families regarding their children’s adaptive equipment needs allowing successful integration into their school environment and accessibility to the world around them. Janelle is a member of both the APTA and the Pediatrics section of the APTA. She also holds an Ohio Department of Education Professional license. “Children are a gift from the Lord” is Janelle’s motto; and she enjoys working with children of all abilities to help them achieve their potential. She has 2 children of her own along with a large extended family that she enjoys spending her time with.

Laura graduated from COTC in 1999 with an associates degree in physical therapy assisting. For the last 18 years Laura has been procticing in the pediatric and geriatric fields. As a school based pediatric therapist Laura assists with fitting of equipment, manual treatments, and caregiver education in order to enhance independance with patient movement skills. Some of Laura’s special interests with in her field include Parkinsons disease, Alzheimers, and sensory motor skills. She is also certified in Watsu aquatics. Laura lives by the motto that “ALL people should be treated the way you would like to be treated”. Her cheerful outgoing personality fit wonderfully in the field she has choosen and help keep her patients smiling as well.

Marci graduated from COTC in 1990 with an associates of applied science/physical therapy assistant program. Marci has been practicing for 22 years with the majority of her experience in both outpatient and home health. Marci currently practices in those settings directing patient care and supervising clinical students. Marci is also on the Zane State Advisory Committee, and is passionate about learning new treatment techniques and concepts as physical therapy evolves through evidence based practice guidlines. “Physical and mental health is more important than financial wealth”, is a life motto that Marci believes in, this belief along with her passion for working with all different types of people make her an encouraging and effective PTA.

Carla graduated from Zane State College with an Associate of Applied Science/Physical Therapist Assistant in 2000. Carla has worked as a PTA in multiple settings including home health care, retirement and skilled nursing facilities. Carla currently works at the Muskingum Valley Developmental Center and in the home health setting as a PTA. At the Development center Carla not only completes physical therapy treatments, but also educates staff on safe transfers, therapeutic exercises and the positional needs of the patients. Carla enjoys helping others help themselves and believes your life is as good as you make it.

Shelia graduated from Zane State College in 1999 with her associates in applied science/ physical therapy assisting. Shelia has been practicing for 12 years and has spent the majority of those years in the outpatient setting. She currently works in this setting where she guides patient treatment, and supervises clinical students. Shelia also has a special interest in the treatment of vertigo and has taken continuing education classes to further her understanding of this condition and the treatment techniques available to combat it. Shelia’s unique understanding of recovery doesn’t just come from her education it comes from her personal experience. She knows what it takes to recover from serious illness and surgery because she has done it, and she uses this perspective and experience to help her patients do the same.

Tina graduated from Ohio University (Zanesville Branch) in 2004 with a Bachelors in Mental Health and Communications. Tina also holds an Associate of Applied Sciences in Occupational Therapy Assisting from Zane State College. Tina has been working as a COTA for 20 years, with 16 spent in pediatric school based therapy. Tina’s optimistic caring and friendly personality, along with her ability to work well with children have helped make her successful in this field for the last 16 years.
